Our solutions for sick building syndrome
Moisture Management for Healthy Buildings
Moisture management is crucial for healthy buildings because it directly impacts structural integrity, indoor air quality, and occupant health.
Condensation occurs when warm, moist air comes into contact with cooler surfaces, leading to water vapour turning into liquid water. Condensation can promote mould growth and cause structural damage. Proper insulation, vapour barriers, and adequate ventilation help prevent condensation from occurring.
Maintaining optimal relative humidity levels (typically between 30% and 60%) is essential for occupant comfort and health. High humidity levels can foster mould and mildew growth, while low humidity can lead to discomfort and respiratory issues. HVAC systems, dehumidifiers, and moisture-absorbing materials help regulate indoor humidity levels.
Activities such as cooking, bathing, and laundry generate moisture indoors. Proper ventilation in kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry areas helps remove excess moisture and prevent it from accumulating in the building.
Regular inspection and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and roofing, are essential for identifying and addressing moisture-related problems promptly. Monitoring indoor humidity levels and moisture content in building materials helps ensure that moisture levels remain within acceptable limits.
Our moisture management products
The EcoComfort Air
A high-efficiency heat recovery ventilation system designed to improve indoor air quality while minimising energy loss. This system is typically used in single rooms and is installed on exterior walls to maintain a comfortable indoor environment by continuously exchanging and filtering air.
The EcoComfort RF
The RF system consists of one or more high-efficiency single-room heat recovery units, designed for installation in exterior walls. Inside each unit, a ceramic heat exchanger stores heat from the outgoing air and transfers it to the incoming air during the intake cycle, helping to maintain indoor temperature
The EcoComfort Plus
A ventilation system that allows you to always have a change of clean air in indoor environments, without the need to open the windows, also preventing the formation of humidity and mould. A high-efficiency regenerative ceramic heat exchanger, placed inside the unit, accumulates the heat released by the air flow extracted from the room and returns it by heating the air during the intake cycle, thus recovering the output heat and avoiding energy waste.
The EcoComfort Smart 2.0
A single room heat recovery unit with smart functions and artificial intelligence
to adapt to user preferences for optimal comfort without energy waste. It comes with WIFI and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 multi-connectivity system for programming and management by Intelliclima + APP.
The RhinoComfort
The first heat recovery unit that sanitises and changes the air. Using natural phenomenon called photocatalysis it disrupts toxic substances and pollutants at the molecular level. It decomposes the harmful substances present in the introduced air, transforming them into harmless substances. It therefore provides sanitised air, guaranteeing a purified environment inside the home, in the office or any place that needs a healthy microclimate, as well as preventing mould moisture.
The PT02 Smart Air Quality Monitor
The PT02 Smart Air Quality Monitor is an advanced device designed to continuously track and report on various indoor air quality parameters, helping to ensure a healthy and safe living or working environment.
The PT02 Plus 8 in 1 Air Quality Monitor
The PT02 Plus 8-in-1 Air Quality Monitor is an advanced device that monitors a wide range of environmental factors, providing comprehensive insights into indoor air quality.
The PT04 Smart Air Quality Monitor
Powered by Rechargeable Battery
The PT04 Smart Air Quality Monitor is another advanced safety device designed for comprehensive air quality and hazard detection, combining multiple features to ensure the safety and comfort of indoor environments.
The finer detail
The problems our products solve
Excess moisture can lead to damp conditions that promote the growth of mould, mildew, and bacteria, which can trigger allergies, asthma, and other respiratory issues. It also attracts pests and causes materials like wood, plaster, and drywall to degrade, compromising the building’s durability and increasing maintenance costs.
