Our solutions for sick building syndrome

Water Quality for Healthy Buildings

Healthy buildings monitor and maintain clean and safe water sources to prevent contamination and protect occupants from waterborne illnesses and other health hazards.

At Anglo Nordic, we deliver comprehensive water quality solutions tailored to your specific needs. Whether you’re dealing with a private water supply or issues flagged by your water authority, we provide a full process that ensures your water meets the required standards.

Step 1

Identifying Water Quality Issues

The first step in resolving any water quality concerns is identifying the issue. Customers typically contact us when they notice common water quality problems, which can include:

  • Bacteria (E-coli, etc.)

  • Calcium (Hard water)

  • Iron & Manganese (Causing discolouration)

  • Sulphur (Smelly water)

Whether prompted by a water authority notice or concerns with a private water supply, we are here to help pinpoint and resolve these issues.

Step 2

Comprehensive Water Testing

Once the issue is identified, the next step is a comprehensive water test. We offer a service to test the water quality at a specific point, typically at your household kitchen tap, to ensure it meets the approved drinking water standards.

For more unique cases or problem scenarios, bespoke tests can be arranged.

Testing Process:

  • We instruct a certified water testing lab to send a testing kit.

  • The customer takes a sample at the start of the week.

  • The sample is then returned to the lab for testing by the end of the same week.

  • The lab will complete the test and return results within the following two weeks.

Step 3

Results and Analysis

Once the test results are returned, you’ll receive a copy directly. In order to provide a complete solution, we will also ask for details on your daily water usage and peak flow rates. This helps us fully understand the requirements for your specific application.

Step 4

Filtration Equipment Recommendations

Based on the water test results, we will provide recommendations for suitable filtration equipment. The equipment typically suggested may include:

  1. Sediment Filters – To remove larger particles from your water supply.

  2. Correction Units – To address specific issues such as hard water or discolouration.

  3. UV Sterilisation – For effective bacteria and pathogen removal.

  4. Water Storage Tanks – To ensure consistent water supply and pressure.

Step 5

Ongoing Water Quality Maintenance

To ensure that your water quality remains within the approved standards, periodic water tests can be arranged. These tests are typically carried out on a schedule that suits your needs and application.

Optional Add-Ons

In addition to water filtration, we can also provide solutions for water storage and booster pumps to further optimise your water system.
