Guide to The Super Universal Thermocouple

A super universal thermocouple fitted to a magnet unit within a gas control acts as a flame failure safety device. When the tip of the thermocouple is heated by the flame it produces an electromagnetic force (E.M.F.) which is used to activate the electromagnetic unit. When the flame is extinguished, the current is reduced closing the magnetic unit which in turn automatically interrupts the gas supply.

Universal Thermocouples cover the replacement needs of most of the controls to be found in the UK domestic heating & commercial catering markets. We designed the Super Universal Thermocouples and relevant components for ease of application . They also designed them to perform to at least the same standard as the original equipment.

Our Thermocouples come complete with 10 fittings; all colour coded for ease of identification. Available in lengths 900mm, 1200mm & 1800mm. Our universal boiler thermocouples include universal adapter fittings and is compatible with screw-in, push-in or clamp-type pilot burners. We had them built for reliability and long life.
